A bright garnet coloured Merlot with a complex bouquet of smoky oak, spice box, earth, black cherry and dark plum. A full-bodied wine with firm but not aggressive tannins, and flavours of dark plum and black cherry complemented by sweet spice and oak. The extra-dry finish lingers with notes of tangy dark fruits, sweet spice, and oak.

WINEMAKING
The Merlot (100%) was harvested from Osoyoos and Oliver in the Okanagan Valley (96%) and the Similkameen Valley (4%), over many days in October 2019. The wine was aged in new and one-year-old French oak barrels for 18 months. The different vineyards were barreled separately, then the top barrels were later blended based on their structure, fruit concentration, mouthfeel, acidity, and potential age-ability. The wines were then bottled in August of 2021.
